Municipal Chamber Choir “Galician bells”

The Galician Peredzvoni Municipal Chamber Choir was founded in August 1991. In 2000, for the high professionalism and active work of the choir, it was granted the status of “municipal”.

The members of the choir are teachers of Prykarpattia National University. V. Stefanyk, State Music School, secondary school teachers, students. The choir consists of male and female vocal ensembles.

The ensemble’s repertoire includes works by Ukrainian and foreign classical composers, modern music, spiritual works, Ukrainian folk songs, songs of the peoples of the world. The choir’s repertoire includes about 150 works. Due to the high level of skill, unique repertoire, especially interesting performance of some works, the chamber choir has gained recognition both within Ukraine and abroad.

Choir – laureate and graduate of Ukrainian and international competitions: Poland (Chelm, 1994, 1997, 2007), Slovakia (Snina, 1995, Trnava, 1999), Great Britain (Llangollen, 1997); Laureate of the International Choral Art Competition named after Lesya Ukrainka (Lutsk, 1994, 1996, 2006), III, IV, V and VII of the All-Ukrainian competition named after D. Sichynsky (Ivano-Frankivsk, 2001, 2003, 2005, 2009), I Regional competition of choirs named after Eugene Kozak (Drohobych, 2007), winner of the Second International Choral Competition named after Pavel Muravsky (Dmitrashkivka, 2011), winner of the XIII All-Ukrainian Choral Competition named after M. Leontovych (Kyiv, 2018).

In October 2015, the municipal chamber choir “Galytsky peredzvony” became the winner of the Ivano-Frankivsk Regional Prize named after D. Sichinsky in the field of music.
