The Choir of Vinnytsia College of Culture and Arts M. Leontovych – a team that has existed since 1958. The choir’s repertoire includes folk music, classical choral and spiritual works. Today the ensemble aims to achieve the universality of professional skills, to expand the repertoire horizon with large-scale works of large form, to be in the trend of modern choral music, to promote the choral work of fellow composers in our country and abroad.
During our existence we:
– the choir successfully performs on the stages of Vinnytsia, Khmelnytsky, Kielce, Bialystok (Poland), Kyiv, Chyhyryn, Odessa, Sambor, Dnipropetrovsk, Zhytomyr, Kamyanets-Podilsky, demonstrating a high level of performance;
– took part in 3 international competitions, received 9 awards, 3 Grand Prix;
– organized more than 100 concerts.
Artistic director and conductor of the choir since 2004 is Olga Baboshyna, a graduate of the III All-Ukrainian competition of choral conductors in Kyiv, artistic director and conductor of the chamber choir “Leontovych-chapel” of Vinnytsia Regional Philharmonic. M. Leontovich; teacher-methodologist of Vinnytsia College of Culture and Arts M. Leontovych, head of the Vinnytsia branch of the All-Ukrainian Choral Society named M. Leontovych, a member of the regional branch of the All-Ukrainian National Music Union.
Awards:
2017- The team was awarded a diploma for participation in setting the record of Ukraine in the category “Mass events” for the performance of 100 works by M. Leontovych.
2017 – Laureate of the 36th International Festival of Sacred Music “Hainuvka 2017” (Bialystok, Ukraine).
2016 – The choir receives a special jury prize for the best performance of sacred music from the International Festival “Vira Fest” (Chyhyryn, Ukraine).
2016 – Grand Prix of the festival “South Palmyra” (Odessa, Ukraine).
2016 – Winner of the Grand Prix of the International Festival “Victoria” (Kyiv, Ukraine).
2014 – Winner of the Grand Prix of the IV International Competition of Vocal Ensembles. D. Bortnyansky.
2010 – Laureate of the First Prize at the All-Ukrainian competition of choirs named after M. Leontovych (Kyiv, Ukraine).
2010 – participation in the International Festival of Choirs “Choral Assemblies of Leontovych” (Vinnytsia, Ukraine)
2010 – Laureate of the First Prize of the All-Ukrainian competition-festival of choirs “From Christmas to Christmas” (Dnipro, Ukraine).
2008 – Laureate of the II prize of the All-Ukrainian competition-festival of choirs “From Christmas to Christmas” (Dnipro, Ukraine).
2007 – participation in the I All-Ukrainian festival “Tovtry – 2007” (Kamyanets-Podilsky, Ukraine).
2006 – Laureate of the II prize at the All-Ukrainian competition of choirs named after M. Leontovych (Kyiv, Ukraine).
2004 – The choir wins the title of winner of the regional competition named after M. Leontovych (Vinnytsia, Ukraine).
